Chief Executive Officer - Judith Chin

In her more than 30 years of New York City School experience, Judith Chin has a wealth of experience that qualifies her to lead the Integrated Curriculum and Instruction Learning Support Organization. As Regional Superintendent of Region 3, Ms. Chin built a reflective professional community of principals where continuous improvement was the norm. Student achievement gains resulted in the removal of schools from SURR lists and gains for students in all NCLB sub-groups. As Superintendent of the Center for Recruitment and Professional Development she produced New York City Leadership Standards and Standards for Professional Development as well as supervising the Teaching Fellows and New Teacher support programs. As Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, she was responsible for the customization and roll-out of New York City Performance Standards in Primary Literacy, ELA, Mathematics, Science and Applied Learning. She brings experience in elementary and middle school teaching and learning from the perspective of teacher, assistant principal and principal. Two of her three children are NYC school teachers, and one is currently a NYC public school student.
 

Deputy CEO for Secondary Education - Charles Amundsen

Bringing a wealth of expertise in high school instruction, in professional development and in secondary mathematics curriculum and instruction, Charles Amundsen joined the Integrated Curriculum and Instruction Learning Support Organization from Region 4 where he was the Regional Superintendent. In his 30 years of experience in New York City Schools he has also served as Deputy Regional Superintendent of Region 4, Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for Brooklyn and Staten Island High Schools (BASIS) and principal of High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology. His commitment to New York City public education extends into the second generation where 2 of his four children are still enrolled in public schools.
 

Deputy CEO - Linda Curtis-Bey

Linda Curtis-Bey has joined the Integrated Curriculum and Instruction Learning Support Organization after spending eight years supporting math and science instruction for all NYC schools as the Director of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, the Director of Mathematics and Science and the Director of Mathematics. In this role, Linda was engaged in establishing policy, managing State and federal grants, working with external partners and informal science institutions, managing math and science resource centers and developing standards, practices and curriculum. Her previous experience includes work with The Teachers College Reading and Writing Project as a presenter and fellow in the Literacy Leadership Project, coordinating math and science, leading Comprehensive School Reform and new teacher professional development initiatives at District 15 and teaching at Brooklyn College and the Bank Street College of Education. Ms. Curtis-Bey is one of eight children and has six children who all attended NYC public schools. She herself is a graduate of PS123, JHS 59 and Andrew Jackson HS in Queens. Linda is currently pursuing her doctorate at Columbia University’s Urban Education Leadership Program.
